Something about the Education system

Denis Rancourt is a physics professor at the University of Ottawa known for his unorthodox views on student grading - he believes that grades interfere with the learning process and reinforce unequal power relationships.

P.S：
The University's Board of Governors recently dismissed Rancourt, stating that his actions were jeopardizing the integrity of the university, its faculty and its students. Rancourt is appealing the decision.

How come? I only see the guys from the University's Board of Governors are all foolish.
